Anxiety & Stress
Stress is a normal part of life. In small quantities, stress is good -- it can motivate you and help you be more productive. However, too much stress, or a strong response to stress, is harmful. Stress can come from any situation or more precisely to your reaction to any situation that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or anxious. In fact your stress response can be triggered by stuff you make up in your head or the way you look at things. What you imagine is at least as important as what is actually happening. What is stressful to one person is not necessarily stressful to another.
Anxiety is a feeling of apprehension or fear. The source of this uneasiness is not always known or recognized, which can add to the distress you feel. Anxiety and stress can set you up for general poor health as well as specific psychological issues. Persistent and unrelenting stress often leads unhealthy behaviors like overeating and abuse of alcohol or drugs.
Hypnosis puts you into a deep state of relaxation. Helping your body to relax it creates a 'relaxation response' that reduces the stress hormones in your body. Hypnosis replaces the distracting negative thoughts with powerful positive thought. Hypnosis can change your perception of the situation and develop your belief and confidence to deal with stress and anxiety in the short and long term.
